LilyMae Lorraine Donnelly Scott, 95, died July 16, 2014 under the care of Hospice House in Savannah, GA.
Mrs. Scott was born in Glen Burnie, MD July 7, 1919. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Cooper Scott, "Scottie", who died in 1985. They have been reunited in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ms. Lorraine most recently lived at River's Edge in Savannah and enjoyed activities with her friends at the Windsor Forest Golden Age Senior Center. Before she moved to Savannah, she lived in Freeport, Florida with Scottie. She was past secretary and past president of the Lioness Club of Defuniak Springs and Freeport, FL. In earlier years before retiring in Florida, she was a volunteer Pink Lady at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.
Mrs. Lorraine Scott is survived by her adult children, son, James Daniel Scott and his wife Alice of Cumming, GA, daughter, Sandra Scott Holden and her husband Bill of Cleveland, GA, and daughter, Joyce L. Whittal and John Phillips of Savannah, GA. Grandchildren include Jon Daudelin, Jennifer Wade, Nancy Girard, Kristi Benton and Carly Whittal, DVM. She was blessed with many great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel on Sunday, July 20, 2014, starting at 3:00 p.m. followed by a private reception at the home of Joyce Whittal and John Phillips.
